Twittervism, #KeepFamiliesTogether Edition
My current big essay requires a fair amount of editing. By the unfinished point it had reached, I had already contradicted the first sentence or two. I also have had a a few insights and revelations that have altered the course of it. Hopefully I'll find time tonight and over the next few days to get it published for Friday.
As consolation, bear witness to my Twittervism from this crazy and politically traumatic week thus far (seriously, the last three days were probably the most depressed and scared I felt in 2018, and I'm a white guy of European Descent!). It might actually provide a preview to the big essay since I've already started using some of the concepts from it.
Trump just said he wishes American people would "sit up and listen" to him the way Kim Jong-un’s people do. Kim Jong-un’s people “sit up and listen” to him because their lives literally depend on it. Now replace Kim’s name with Hitler’s. Scared yet, idiots who voted for him?

@jeffbezos, literacy, book distribution to younger people, & encouraging people to find enjoyment in reading fiction & poetry is an obvious place to donate money. It will help your bottom line while also improving empathy in the public. https://t.co/xZtv7Q9H7w

@jeffbezos, another data point to show that fiction & poetry help the world. Add to my previous suggestion: prison education and put more fiction & poetry into prisons. https://t.co/iHXKmOR1nh

There is no law, it is Trump's policy. He started this, and he could stop it at any time.

Trump praises a dictator who uses death camps, summary executions, torture, and forced mass starvation to repress millions and says this dictator did what he had to do--and *not one* aide or appointee in Trump's regime resigns. It's a deplorable administration.
